Job Description

We'd love to hear from you if you're excited about solving complex challenges and enjoy learning new skills in an ever-changing web application! Join our like-minded people and make your footprint in building our next the latest web application. You must be well-rounded, experienced with multiple UI technologies and frameworks, and enjoy development cycles. You must be an expert in understanding complex JavaScript applications in the cloud, such as Angular, React, Vue. We love to see portfolios of recent project designs and/or code samples.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide technical leadership to a team of engineers, and be accountable for the technical decision-making for your team
  2. Lead architectural and technical improvement projects
  3. Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
  4. Ensure the quality and stability of the front-end codebase
  5. Collaborate with other team members and team members
  6. Develop and maintain user-facing features
  7. Share your experience and continue to learn
  8. Improve the application for maximum speed, scalability, and maintainability
  9. Be active in the developer community

Qualifications

  1. Experienced Front-End Web Engineer with a solid technical background and able to work using the latest front-end development practices.
  2. 10+ years of expert UI programming skills with JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3, including experience with React and/or Angular and Node.js
  3. 5+ years in a Tech Leadership role in building scalable Web Applications on modern cloud-based tech stacks
  4. Deep technical expertise in JavaScript frameworks and single-page application design and development
  5. Computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and design patterns
  6. Proficiency with the DOM and asynchronous event-programming models
  7. Experience with cross-browser development on a large-scale public-facing application
  8. Experience with responsive design, web standards, and UI/UX best practices
  9. Experience with blue/green deployments as an application release model
  10. Experience using multiple JavaScript/CSS frameworks and libraries (Angular, React, Bootstrap, Storybook)
  11. Experience with UI testing and automation frameworks (Protractor, Jasmine, Cucumber)
  12. Proficient in Agile/Scrum methodology

Bonus skills:

  1. Collaboration in open-source communities
  2. Experience with CSS pre-processors such as Sass, Less, or Stylus
  3. Experience with node development workflows (npm, gulp)
  4. Experience with data visualization APIs and JSON (Highcharts, D3, Google Charts)
  5. Previous Mobile (web or native) development experience
  6. Financial Services experience

Education:

  1. Degree in computer science or related field
