About the Opportunity:

Compass Lexecon is currently seeking full-time candidates for an Experienced Economist for our Los Angeles, CA office. A Ph.D. is not required for this role, but the ideal candidate needs 4-5 years of relavant industry experience. In order to be considered, candidates must submit a cover letter, CV, and a writing sample.

Economists are responsible for implementing analytical projects; overseeing the creation of charts, tables, and other visual representations of analyses; performing quantitative and qualitative research; drafting concise summaries of analytical work; contributing to the production of expert reports, white papers, and presentations; and serving as a liaison between project managers and junior staff.

Qualified candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in economics, statistics, or a related field; strong analytical and quantitative skills; and 4 or more years of experience in economic consulting, litigation support, or a related field.

Compass Lexecon offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Compensation and benefits are competitive with other major economic consulting firms. The base salary range for the Economist role is $140,000-$150,000. Additional compensation may be considered based on relevant experience and skills. Economists are also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is based on several factors, including but not limited to employee performance and the overall performance of the firm.
