Data and Process Flow Developer

You’ll be working with the Software team and Founders.

This will be a unique opportunity to be on the ground floor of identifying the need for, designing, and implementing not only process flows but also all related structures, databases, and workflows to enable the entire enterprise to run—be it in supply chain, finance, charging, or customer life cycle management. A lot of coffee, a lot of conversation, and some rapid sprinting are key to this role.

Our philosophy: Break. Believe. Build

Break stuff. Break assumptions. Break the thumb rule.

Believe in the team. Believe in the process. Believe through failures.

Build fast. Build passionately. Build to simplify.

What you will do:

At Exponent Energy, we’re in the middle of scaling our business; consequently, a sea change is happening. New teams are being created, old teams are growing, and our scope of activities and the depth to which we need to go into each of them are increasing.

What this means is that a central source of truth, a nodal point of information, and a mechanism to standardize + coordinate activities are needed and that’s where you come in.

Help build the enterprise-level management tools, with all of its intricacies, for the future of energy.

Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize:
    • Understand and capture the control and operational philosophy of Exponent
    • Deep dive into each functional domain and how it interacts with others
    • Develop frameworks and structures of information and workflow across the various functions
    • Come up with a cool name for this system :)
  • Design & Build:
    • Design Information/data collection, sharing, validation, and visualization systems based on frameworks conceptualized
    • Build out integrations with the rest of the tools in the Exponent ecosystem to maintain robustness
    • Implement tools to enable decision-making leveraging the interlinked set of enterprise-level information captured in the system
  • Implement & Maintain:
    • Work with internal and external stakeholders to maintain this system - dealing with all risks around external linkages, security, redundancies, etc
    • Engage with functions and users to implement changes and updates based on feedback and real-world learnings

The ideal candidate requires:

  • Comfort in developing Frappe.io among other tools
  • An ability to bring structure and conceptual clarity to nebulous requirements
  • A willingness to understand actual use cases and implement solutions
  • Comfort in stretching across vastly different functional domains, while juggling product management and implementation.
