Due to the scope and needs of the business, this position is a hybrid role and is eligible for remote work.

The Export Customer Service/ Demand Specialist will work out of our Stamford, CT office and report to the Director of Supply Chain. The key responsibilities and duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Organize export orders and coordinate with third parties on timing of shipments
  • Ensure accuracy of information across multiple systems and/or documents, to include customer, item, and order data
  • Serve as a backup to the Export and Regulatory Coordinator by assisting in the creation and renewal of shipment documents, certifications and permits
  • Participate in internal and external calls related to international logistics, including the onboarding of new customers and suppliers
  • Support the set-up of new accounts and maintenance of customer account information within internal and external systems, as needed
  • Track, Develop and Report on KPI’s related to international shipping modes, including cost and time in transit
  • Work closely with other coworkers on customer logistic matters
  • Document processes and recommend process improvements
  • Responsible for demand planning and management processes for new and existing products
  • Develop and execute product demand plans that coincide with the organization’s goals
  • Develop demand forecasts based on demand patterns and business trends while anticipating customer reactions to promotions and discounts
  • Partner with customers, sales, marketing, and supply chain management to analyze key business drivers and improve forecast accuracy and bias
  • Identify supply chain issues (i.e., product availabilities) and the associated demand impacts
  • Collaborate with supply planning to aid in maintaining an appropriate inventory level based on future customer demands
  • Address demand-related queries and issues in a timely manner
  • Lead key monthly meetings within the S&OP process driving collaboration cross-functionally
  • Understand customer inputs and attend customer meetings as required
  • Maintain and enhance demand planning processes and systems to drive continuous improvement
  • Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


  • 2-3 years of customer service experience
  • 3-5 years of demand planning and analysis experience
  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, or a related field
  • Must be willing to submit a background check and pre-employment drug screening
  • Must be eligible to work in the US
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior CPG industry experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Master’s degree in a related field
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Statistical modeling techniques
  • Prior use of MRP / ERP systems
  • Prior knowledge of marketing and economics
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


  • Ability to push, pull, carry, or lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 8 hours
  • Ability to operate a computer and other office technology
  • Ability to observe details at close range
  • Occasionally Ascend/descend stairs
  • Must be able to work out of the office during regular business hours
  • Must be able to relay accurate information via multiple communication vehicles including verbal and written mechanisms
