Medical Biller

Job Summary:Performs all insurance/billing clerical duties and is responsible for entering data electronically to process charges, some payments, denials, and adjustments. Resolves routine charge inquiries and problems and re-bills charges if need be. All duties performed under the supervision of the Clinic Manager.Required Essential Functions:• Issues bills, receipts and invoices• Ensure all clients remain informed on their outstanding debts and deadlines• Enters data to process charges and inputs correct codes/data according to proper documentation• Extensive knowledge of medical terminology• Understands and applies knowledge in medical billing and coding, documentation, claim filing, and payment posting (when necessary)• Prepares and submits clean electronic claims to insurance companies• Code all needed charges as necessary with supporting documentation• Addresses errors from Receipt/Payment posting and Insurance Audit questions on assigned client• Answers questions and resolves routine patient billing inquiries and problems• Adheres to all company policies, procedures and guidelines• Maintains strictest confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations• Performs all other duties as assignedRequired Skills/Experience:• Knowledge of medical billing practices with physician billing/some hospital charges• Knowledge of Business Office procedures• Knowledge of basic Medical Coding and third-party operating procedures and practices• Ability to operate a computer and basic office equipment• Ability to operate a multi-line telephone system• Skill in answering a phone in a pleasant and client friendly manner• Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, coworkers and the patients; provide quality customer service in all situations• Must be well organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task• Must be dependable and punctual• Must have good time management skills• Must be able to work independently and prioritize• Maintain a professional and polished image• Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm manner• Ability to stay organized and multitask with critical thinking skills#2002Job Type: Full-timePay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:• Dental insurance• Health insurance• Vision insuranceSchedule:• 8 hour shift• Day shift• Monday to FridayAbility to Relocate:• Oklahoma City, OK: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
