Developer Experience Lead

Developer experience is our competitive advantage. As our Developer Experience Lead at Extend, you'll ensure we become the default choice for developers building document processing.

  • How do we make it incredibly simple for developers to get started with Extend?

  • How do we build developer trust in AI-powered systems?

  • How do we create documentation that serves both beginners and power users?

  • Document processing is a massive space and has fascinating technical challenges — how do we build a thriving developer community around document processing?

  • How do we enable developers to quickly troubleshoot and optimize their implementations?

  • How do we gather and incorporate developer feedback into our product roadmap?

Role

  • Own the end-to-end developer experience, from documentation to SDKs to sample applications

  • Create compelling technical content that showcases Extend's capabilities and best practices

  • Develop and execute our developer community strategy

  • Help shape our product roadmap based on developer needs and feedback

  • Have complete ownership over the work you do — as a founding team member, you’ll have the opportunity to truly own large areas of the company and have direct relationships with large enterprises.

  • Work directly with the CEO, CTO, and other founding members and help build out our team.

Ideal Candidate Credentials

  • 3+ years of experience focused on developer experience, developer relations, or similar roles

  • Track record of building and growing developer communities

  • Strong technical writing skills demonstrated through documentation, blog posts, or talks

  • Technical ability to build tools, SDKs, and developer-facing features that drive adoption and engagement
