The mission of the Cloud team is to create a fault-resilient, highly available, customer-centric platform. In this role you will build customer-facing features that enable security and engineering teams to stop threats in their place and work with the team to build a large, scalable, secure platform and services using cutting-edge technologies and leverage that platform to build engaging cloud-native experiences. The R(x) 360 Platform is built on AWS and GCP. It utilizes Terraform to define Infrastructure-as-Code and our services and features are written primarily in Python, Golang, TypeScript, and React with a focus on security, scalability, stability, and type-first design. This platform allows us to build native product and service integrations, first-class customer-facing workflows, and high throughput data pipelines. Our goal is to build a reliable platform for customer-facing services while encouraging healthy work-life balance via automated remediation and fault-tolerant designs.

ExtraHop R&D supports fully-flexible work options that includes full time onsite, hybrid, and fully remote working arrangements. With the exception of a few roles that require physical access, we believe in supporting you in making the choice that works best for you and makes the team successful.

Requirements

  • Excellent engineering chops
  • 2-4 years of experience
  • Solid knowledge of Go, Python, or an equivalent programming language
  • Self-starter with a strong problem-solving track record and ability to grow and learn
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator who can iterate quickly

Desired skills

  • Experience around containers and related technologies (Kubernetes / Docker / HashiCorp - Packer, Vault, and Terraform).
  • Experience with building and scaling distributed, highly available systems
  • Experience with cloud services on AWS or Azure (EKS / RDS / S3 / SQS / EC2 / IAM)

$125,000 - $163,900 + benefits
