Facilities Specialist
With direction, the Facilities Specialist provides support for the daily operations of the Facilities Services organization. Provides excellent customer service support through JIRA work order system as well as through daily interaction with customers and stakeholders. Develops new work processes as well as identifies areas for continuous improvement.
Duties and Responsibilities
May perform any or all the following duties:

Answer phone calls, greet visitors, monitor entrance, and check in visitors through security visitor application.

Serve as main point of contact for the Facilities service requests.

Monitor activity in JIRA work order system, (entering, updating, and closing work orders)

Issue visitor badges
-
Direct callers and provide information to clients, RAND staff, and other visitors and callers.

Notify employees when guests arrive.

Use Excel to create and analyze Facilities metrics as requested.

Create, update, and maintain various spreadsheets and databases as needed.

Interact with vendors and couriers and direct accordingly.

Manage commuter incentives, including tracking, onboarding and offboarding employees, and troubleshooting issues.

Assist with office-wide communication.

Assist with employee and visitor reservations of workspace and conference rooms.

Schedule meetings

Create and submit Security logs as needed.

Assist with training and documentation.
-
Work collaboratively with support staff across sites to trouble shoot issues.

Deliver large items, packages, and stock general service areas.
-
Assist in conference room furniture configurations.
-
Assemble miscellaneous products and furniture.
-
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills
-
Computer: PC, Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Power Point, Excel proficiency

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Education
-
High School Diploma or GED required.

A college degree is preferred.
Required Experience
-
1 to 2 Years of relevant expereince.

The ability to stand or sit for long periods of time.

Must be able to build and move furniture and move freely inside and outside the office building.
Clearance:

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance.

Salary range:
$37,100- $53,900
