Data Engineer Co-Op/Intern


JOB LOCATION:

Austin, Texas


This position requires the candidate to work onsite at the Austin location.


PROGRAM TERM:
Fall (Start date August 21, September 11 or September 25, 2023 - December 15, 2023


WHO WE ARE:

The Product Development team is responsible for driving the program schedule, logistics and overall program success of the product engineering team. We have a commitment to meeting deadlines and have an aptitude to thrive in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment. Must have the technical skills to help us design, develop, and improve operations through integration and automation. We work with several different groups across AMD and are key to driving milestones, identify action or mitigation plans for issues or risks that arise during project lifecycle.


WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Support the Product Engineering team including service and application development, streamline data through automation, and developing dashboards.
  • Will work closely with Program Implementation Manager to understand and reduce time spent on developing schedules and execution.
  • As a key member of the team, you will have significant deliverables that will help us achieve our overall product goals.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to details
  • Software development (including design, implementation, testing, and change management)
  • Data engineering is strongly preferred over Data Scientists/ML
  • BS, MS and PhD will be considered
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Data Analysis, and Python
  • Willingness to take ownership of projects and drive them to completion
  • Ability to manage your time effectively
  • Software development (including design, implementation, testing, and change management)
  • Build and release management (preferred)
  • Jira (preferred)
  • Gantt Charts (preferred)

Qualifications:
At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package. Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position. You may be eligible for incentives based upon your role such as either an annual bonus or sales incentive.
