The base office may be located within a Farm Credit Mid-America retail office in Indiana with the expectation of traveling within the region.TRAVEL REQUIRED: There is an expectation to be present within the Indiana region, visiting offices and teams regularly. There will also be monthly meetings in Louisville.COMPENSATION: $108,840.00 to $243,613.00 base salary plus potential for variable compensation. Base pay is determined by your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Farm Credit Mid-America/Rural 1st may compensate outside of the salary range for bona fide reasons not related to membership in a protected class.About Our OpportunityOur Vice President Retail Operations is primarily responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction for the Association's Retail Operations Team. Leads and coaches the Directors of Retail Operations to deliver exceptional customer experience, supports the sales delivery and financial services function in conformance with the Association business plan while maintaining the appropriate risk profile balance for the assigned retail areas.How You Will Spend Your Time• Providing strategic leadership for the Association business plan specific to the Retail Operations Team by delivering desired results measured by sales numbers, credit quality, credit administration, loan servicing, and overall financial results.• Collaborates and communicates with peers on strategic direction in agricultural lending to ensure the success of Agriculture retail by defining team operating standards, forming policy and monitoring adherence to essential procedures.• Leads by modeling our organizational values, inspiring a shared vision, challenging the process, encouraging and enabling others to act.• Adjusting and executing business plans, budgets, and priorities contributing to the development of functional or departmental strategies in order to meet Association objectives.• Aligns team performance and individual goals with association goals of sales production, loan quality, customer selection and financial results.• Apply acquired expertise to analyze and solve problems without clear precedent, coordinates with cross-functional leaders and participates in association strategy and projects to make recommendations for the Association.• Possesses and maintains technical expertise, business and industry knowledge, and process development capabilities for the assigned team.• Grants authorities, sets standards, evaluates performance, corrects deficiencies, coaches and develops skills, effective and efficient review of credit analysis, regulatory compliance and procedural compliance.• Developing processes and programs that promote and enhance the customer experience.• Exercising management authority in performance reviews, compensation decisions, recruitment, discipline, and other employment decisions developing skills, coaching, and retention.Minimum Education & ExperienceBachelor's Degree in business, agriculture or related field. At least four years of experience in sales, credit, and proven leadership capabilities with agriculture lending experience.Mental & Physical RequirementsWhile engaged in this position, team members will routinely sit, use hands for tasks, and communicate orally. Standing or walking is frequently required, while occasional demands include reaching with hands and arms, and lifting or moving up to ten pounds. Vision requirements encompass close and distance vision. The work environment typically has a moderate noise level. This role may entail a blend of mental and physical capabilities, requiring strong mental acuity, problem-solving skills, and occasional physical tasks such as standing, lifting, or extended computer usage. Some roles may require physical or mental requirements related to driving, such as a valid driver's license, and the ability to drive a long-distance.
