Requisition Summary
The Vehicle Integration team is responsible for managing the comprehensive portfolio of integrated technology and features within the vehicle. The team provides written and visual communication to the organization describing the intended behavior of the vehicle to support product definition and development. The Kenworth Vehicle Integration team is looking for a feature project coordinator to streamline all engineering scope inputs from multiple sources into packaged projects.
The role will be responsible for checking quality of incoming scope requests, bundling relevant software scope items together, and managing the database of software-related requests in an agile manner. In this position, the Feature Project Coordinator will gather relevant input from multiple stakeholders, manage scope change processes and scope change requests, and support teams to negotiate their needs to implement projects on time.
Job Functions and Responsibilities
Support the development of software scope and scope management of major projects
Maintain awareness of and balance among overall inter-program scope details
Coordinate with Product Planning, Embedded Engineering, Global Connected Services, and ITD divisions to understand the voice of the customer and business decisions
Process incoming requests for current and future advanced development projects
Support and manage scope change request processes
Host V-Cycle estimations exercises and collaboration sessions for initial portfolio creation
Support and provide feedback during effort estimation processes and integration plans
Work closely with all identified stakeholders across multiple time zones to set scoping schedules and deadlines
Plan functional requirements specification drafts to support downstream teams
Groom the backlog of pending scope items for quality and completeness
Prioritize project and program content with program managers and engineering leads
Report on scope item statuses and escalate issues to management and leadership
Establish and maintain dashboards for project tracking and presentations
Update and manage corporate process specifications
Develop new ways of working in new tools in common with multiple divisions and teams (e.g. Doors Next Gen, Rational Team Concert, Tableau)
Qualifications and Skills
2+ years of experience in engineering fields, particularly in the automotive industry
Experience in project management or equivalent certification (e.g. PMP)
Experience in systems engineering methodologies
Experience in agile, scrum, and waterfall development practices
Experience in authoring technical requirements (S.M.A.R.T.)
Experience in IBM Doors Next Gen or requirements management databases
Focus on interdepartmental communication
Presentation skills for technical and executive audiences
Development of program-wide schedules, milestones, and action plans
Capability of organizing and balancing large sums of data

The salary range for Feature Portfolio Coordinator is $78,100 - $122,300 annually. This position is also eligible for a holiday gift. Additionally, this role is eligible for the full range of benefit options listed above.
