Position Overview:
The University of Central Oklahoma has a research contract with the Oklahoma Highway Safety Office to complete a Highway Safety Observation Study for 2023. This study will include a Seat Belt Survey, Child Restraint Survey, and Helmet Use Survey. The Field Observer will be hired from approximately May 16th - August 30th, 2023, and will complete training as well as collect data for this study during this time. This is a seasonal, part-time position.

Candidates must be able to stand outside their vehicles to observe oncoming traffic. Observations will be conducted between the hours of 7 AM and 7 PM during the months of June and July and candidates must be able to withstand the Oklahoma summer weather conditions.
