Field Sales Representative

The Field Sales Representative position supports all sales efforts in California and is required to positively convey Sonic’s brand message and convert potential customers into customers through door-to-door canvassing efforts. Field Sales Representatives are positive, business-minded, and capable of, and enjoy, speaking to the public about Sonic services.

The Field Sales Representative is an outside sales role. A Field Sales Representative can work as many hours as they please, whichever days they please to meet quota. Schedules are flexible but must be performed within the given time frames: Mon-Fri 9 am-8 pm and Sat-Sun 10 am-7 pm.

Travel:

Travel is expected for this position. A valid California Driver’s License and Clean DMV are required. Reliable vehicle and auto insurance are also required. All mileage will be reimbursed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Execute door-to-door sales campaigns.
  • Perform sales related activities at Sonic events.
  • Generate sales leads to fill Gigabit Fiber pipeline.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule; ability to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays required.
  • Possess an energetic attitude and desire to grow the business through sales.
  • Learn and strive to gain new knowledge about product and service changes.
  • Meet or exceed sales expectations on a consistent basis.

Compensation Scale:

  • Projected 1st Year earnings: $75k annually (this assumes 46 working weeks, 23 pay periods)
  • Uncapped, unlimited commission: There is a possibility to earn much more!
  • Reps must meet the minimum sales threshold of 10 sales/pay period (1 per day minimum). 2 sales per day are the main goal.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Walk or move approximately 3 miles per day including stairs and hills.
  • Carry 10-20 pounds (marketing materials, water, tablet, etc.).
  • Subject to weather conditions (heat not exceeding 110 degrees Fahrenheit, cold, wind, heavy fog, rain, etc.).

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to sit and stand; talk or hear; reach with hands and arms; key/type. The employee is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

  • Bonus pay
  • Commission pay
