Field Service Technician

Position Overview:

Provide service for existing refractory business at major steel customers’ locations. Assist in the maintenance of refractory systems and equipment and monitor inventory levels. Plan with both customers and internal support group all upcoming repairs.

Position can be located in McMinnville OR or Seattle WA or Cities/Towns in between.

Key Responsibilities:

• Actively follow and support established employee safety program. Work safely with a commitment to no harm.
• Monitor and maintain the refractory systems including: robotic and manual application spray equipment, specialized pneumatic refractory gunite equipment.
• Monitor refractory inventories.
• Schedule and plan refractory maintenance outages.
• Track refractory performance.
• Interact with customers to determine their immediate and long-term refractory requirements.
• Schedule refractory delivery along with supervisor.

Knowledge/Experience/Skills Needed:

College degree preferred. Effective verbal communication skills, a proven ability to “multi-task”, and the ability to work and interact with others at different internal and external organizational levels. Proficiency in Excel and Word is required. This position requires the ability to work flexible hours and some overtime.

The specific pay rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, education and location.

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
