Position Summary:

We are looking to hire a qualified and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our world class organization to further enhance our global presence. On a daily basis you will work with many diverse Fortune 500 companies worldwide, involved in the design and development of high tech products and industry innovations. 

You will work closely with our sales department to prepare pricing estimates, participate in customer management and strategic sales planning activities. We need you to direct communication and assistance with customers and prospects to collaborate on design and product applications solving engineering challenges and offering solutions, manage customer compliance requests for supplier requirements and provide engineering support to international sales offices.

You will assist with new product development design and engineering process improvement projects and prepare 3D CAD models and internal manufacturing documentation (BOMs). You will also facilitate prototype builds and product improvements with direct manufacturing operations involvement for filtration products, EMI shielding vent panels and other complementary products.

The position is based in Sauget, IL (St Louis, MO area) and requires to be in-person.

Responsibilities

Sales Engineering:

• Actively participate in customer management and strategic sales planning activities
• Integral part of engineering, sales, and other research and development activities
• Prepare price estimates

Applications Engineering:

• Direct communication and assistance with customers and prospects to collaborate on design and product applications solving engineering challenges and offering solutions
• Manage customer compliance requests for supplier requirements
• Provide engineering support to international sales offices

Design Engineering:

• Facilitate prototype builds and product improvements with direct manufacturing operations involvement for filtration products, EMI shielding vent panels and other complementary products
• Assist with new product development design and engineering process improvement projects
• Prepare 3D CAD models and internal manufacturing documentation (BOMs)

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong Communication Skills to communicate internally and externally with customers
• Problem-Solving Abilities
• Excellent organizational and presentation skills
• Understanding of Manufacturing Processes
• Attention to Detail

Education and Experience:

• Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering degree
• Industry experience with sales engineering is a plus
• Strong mechanical design and computer systems knowledge – 3D CAD and Microsoft Excel

Base Salary: $70-$80K Salary, Exempt
