About the Role
The Finance Manager will be hands-on and responsible for providing management and external auditors with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts and fluctuations, overseeing financial close processes, preparing audit support, managing fulfillment of audit requests with other team members, and preparing and reviewing financial statements. Candidate must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to respond to questions and special requests from internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner. This position requires flexibility to adjust priorities to accommodate accelerated deadlines, and urgent requests. It is essential that the Finance Manager be accountable, detail oriented, and adaptable to ensure deadlines are met timely and with a high degree of accuracy.

What You Will Do
  • Overseeing and performing aspects of the monthly financial close process, including own responsibilities, and assisting other team members with their responsibilities, when required. This can include reviewing reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and P&L general ledger accounts.
  • Ensuring timely completion of monthly close process, prior to established reporting deadlines.
  • Assisting with ad hoc, sometimes urgent, financial projects and requests.
  • Assisting with the audit process by managing audit questions and coordinating requests for audits, including consolidated US GAAP financial statement audit, bank audits, foreign statutory audits, and ad hoc internal audits.
  • Ensuring timely completion of audits prior to established deadlines and financial statement issuance deadlines.
  • Preparing and reviewing statutory financial statements for foreign audits and consolidated audits.
  • Ensuring compliance with policies and procedures and providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Monitoring financial transactions and changes to ensure compliance with all statutory laws and regulations.
  • Preparing complex analyses and comprehensive explanations of transactions, including documentation for external auditors.
  • Creating and executing expedient solutions as issues arise. Attention to detail and ability to deliver cohesive ideas in an expedited period are key attributes to success in this role.
  • Investigating irregularities and errors within the general ledger, processes, and audit deliverables.
  • Liaising with individuals both within the finance department and across the organization.
  • Coaching and developing junior team members.
  • Assessing the business process risks and managing risks by identifying them, brainstorming potential solutions, collaborating with management, implementing changes, and incorporating best practices.
  • This position is responsible for working closely with all levels within the department and across the organization to share knowledge, accomplish common goals, and set standards of excellence and professionalism.
What You Will Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of experience in Corporate Accounting and/or Auditing. Experience as an auditor or managing a financial statement audit process, coordinating with external auditors, and understanding of financial statement preparation.
  • Quantitative aptitudes and experience in building scalable solutions and processes to solve problems, strengthen internal controls, provide scalability, and increase quality.
  • Must be proficient in Excel.
  • Strong organization and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Salary Range is between $110,000 - $130,000 USD based on experience and location.
