The Opportunity
The FA Operations Support Analyst, a member of the Financial Aid Operations team in Student Financial Services, will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) of all University Financial Aid Processing (calculations, returns, Title IV programs, COD processing, disbursement) and applicable federal regulations. The Support Analyst will oversee projects to support the continued improvement and streamlining of Financial Aid Operations. The Support Analyst will also perform support tasks for the daily operations involved in Financial Aid Operations. This is a Dual-Place position and you will report to the Associate Director of Financial Aid.
In this Role You'll Get To:
You will maintain processes to support student financial services, daily operations and financial aid processing to include the maintenance of work instructions, team documents, training materials and training projects.
You will guide excellence in service through ongoing department support and collaboration.
You will contribute to important projects by collaborating with your team to design and improve all calculation and return practices.
You will improve, facilitate, and provide solutions on current processes within the department.
You will develop an understanding of the interdependencies and sharing of data within the operations and program team.
You will complete daily support tasks connected to the student experience within student financial aid.
You will provide direct, open, and honest feedback to promote engagement, collaboration, and communication to achieve success.
You will perform other related responsibilities to support Student Financial Services and University goals.
What we're Looking For:
A Bachelor's degree.
3 + years of experience within financial aid to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Experience of system platform(s) in financial aid.
A thoughtful mindset to promote systematic thinking, daily operations, and practice.
Strong communication, and analytical skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook.
Employment is dependent upon successful access to the National Student Loan Data System, which requires all federal student loans to be in good standing and not in default and a credit check to review that student loans are not in default.
Experience in a higher education environment.
