Position Summary
We are seeking a professional and effective financial analyst to join our team. Our ideal candidates have a passion for results and the willingness to put in the time and effort to get the job done. In this role you will develop reporting and analysis related to financial and operating activities in support of senior management and divisions; develop presentations and reporting packages given to the board, senior management, and outside investment analysts; and provide analysis, insights and commentary on company performance.
Responsibilities
Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly operational and financial reports including board and management books.
Create and develop visual presentations and informational packages for use by senior management.
Assist in the development and improvement of budgeting, forecasting, and financial models.
Analyze divisional and corporate reporting and provide insights and commentary.
Research and analyze competitors and related metrics affecting the homebuilding industry.
On an ad-hoc basis, assist with various technical accounting / financial reporting tasks.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Advanced computer skills, including superior skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Must be able to analyze information for reasonableness.
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a collaborative working environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Able to communicate in a professional manner.
Must be accurate, thorough and able to cope with frequently changing priorities and interrupted work flow.
Must be able to work independently and with a team and organize time to meet goals.
Degree in Accounting or Finance or related field preferred.
Experience with IBM Cognos TM1 and JD Edwards Enterprise One desirable.
