Financial Analyst I

Job Description:

Business Planning: Alongside supervisory guidance, responsible for coordinating efforts of internal resources to produce and report on financial proformas or system initiatives related to growth and margin. Also responsible for maintaining internal databases related to Financial Impact Initiatives related to system initiatives. This position will also be included in business plan and service line modeling to determine return on investment and payback period on capital projects. Analysis & Reporting: responsible for the generation of internal reporting of clinical/financial/operational data. Gathers and interprets relevant information, develops the analyses and reports out to support system initiatives. Performs other assigned tasks including trend analysis, product line reporting, payroll analysis and special projects as needed. Through the help of supervisory positions is responsible for analyzing and interpreting financial and statistical reports using historical and budget data. Budgeting and Long-Term Planning: Responsible for aiding in the build out of the budget during all phases. Through the guidance of a supervisory role, makes adjustments as needed to general ledger/payroll/statistical models to drive the budget process to completion. Create and analyze monthly budget reports, volume/pricing trends, budget to actual variances and other ad-hoc reports. Assist in the long term planning process.

Minimum or Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, IT or related field is required. 1 year of experience in finance, accounting, payroll or budgeting experience is required. 1 year of experience in Microsoft Office specifically MS Excel advanced functions is required. A strong working knowledge of the healthcare industry and it’s specific intricacies is preferred.
