Lifecycle Marketer (Part-Time)

Mission

Finch was started by 2 friends (Nino & Steph 🙇🏾‍♂️🙇🏻‍♀️) who struggled with anxiety and depression and found self-care challenging to stick with. We decided to build Finch hoping to make self-care fun and accessible after seeing many others share similar struggles. Finch was launched in 2021, and our team is grateful to have helped over 10 million people on their mental health journeys.

Role Summary

We’re looking for a part-time lifecycle marketer to work with our team to build out our email marketing ecosystem and strategy (20-30 hours/week). The ideal candidate would be comfortable as a self-sufficient team of 1 with the ability to build strategy as well as build emails. We believe in the power of email marketing as a tool to help us build strong relationships and engagement wit hour users, and are looking for someone who’s passionate about email to help us prove out email as an effective channel for Finch.



Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy and Planning

    • Campaign Strategy Development: Plan and develop email campaigns that align with broader marketing objectives (e.g. user retention, engagement, conversion).

    • Audience Segmentation: Define and segment audiences to tailor messaging for different customer groups, behaviors, and lifecycle stages.

  • Operations and Technical Execution

    • End to end development of campaigns, including email design, email development / coding and copy.

    • Automation: Design and implement automated email workflows (e.g., welcome series, abandoned cart reminders, and post-purchase follow-ups) to nurture leads and customers.

    • List Management: Ensure a healthy, engaged email list through regular cleaning and segmentation practices to avoid sending to inactive or invalid addresses.

    • Deliverability Optimization: Implement practices to maximize deliverability and avoid spam filters, such as authenticating the domain, maintaining good IP reputation, and avoiding spammy language.

  • Analytics and Reporting

    • Performance Analysis: Track key email metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, and unsubscribe rates to evaluate campaign effectiveness.

    • Data-Driven Optimization: Use insights from analytics to continuously refine and optimize email strategies, making adjustments to improve engagement and ROI.



Requirements:

  • Experience using Iterable

  • Comfortable flexing between strategy and execution, and able to do the tactical work yourself to bring campaigns to life

  • Experience briefing and collaborating with in-house designers and writers to bring ideas to life

  • Detail-oriented and data-obsessed
