Seeking a Fire safety and building permitting responsible

Your New Role
You will play a key role at the Hillerød site ensuring preparation and implementation of fire safety, building permits and compliance within the area of our facility.
As you are responsible for driving and implementing our fire safety strategy, you will have a broad variety of tasks as well as many touch points in the organization.
In terms of fire safety your will ensure update of the fire safety strategy and translate it into operational plans for controlling and maintaining fire safety. Collaboration with the Maintenance Department's Technical Team, who are responsible for the fire system (e.g., ABA), as well as external fire engineers for both existing production areas and large projects, will be crucial to ensure comprehensive fire safety across the site. You will contribute to emergency preparedness training working alongside the EHS and Security Departments.
You will be responsible for submitting permit applications and following up with the Municipality. Additionally, you will serve as an internal sparring partner for projects, ensuring adequate design and documentation for permit compliance. Collaboration with the EHS department will be essential for addressing environmental aspects.
As the point of contact for building permits and fire safety, you will also liaise with insurance companies and participate in authority inspections, as well as customer visits and inspections.
Your primary task will be:

Ensure creation, follow up and compliance with the fire safety strategy, as well as the plan for operation, control, and maintenance in accordance with relevant legislation.

Taking the lead in driving dialogues and decisions on fire related questions to equipment, evacuation routs, test processes, access incl. during temporary disablement periods

Responsible for preparation, application, and follow-up on building permits at the Hillerød site

Serves as the point of contact for all fire-related matters, both internally and externally, including insurance companies, authorities, customers, and inspectors

Conducting risk assessments and managing fire safety and emergency preparedness

Submitting dispensations for fire load in relation to TechTransfer

Arrange and participate in large scale drills, including the yearly tests with the authorities

Contributing to the prioritization of investments related to fire safety

Conducting internal quarterly meetings focused on fire safety and emergency preparedness

Ensuring thorough follow-up and evaluation of fire alarms, incidents, drills, and other activities pertaining to the fire and emergency response strategy.
Skills & Knowledge, we hope you possess
We are looking for a dedicated candidate with a proven track record within fire safety and/or emergency preparedness. You have following background and skill sets:

Relevant educational background i.e., Engineer, bachelor’s in emergency and Risk Management, Architectural Technology and Construction Management or similar

3-5 years of experience from a role with Fire Safety and/or permitting preferably from the process, ingredient, or pharmaceutical industry

Good understanding of BR18 and the Danish fire regulation

Experience in stakeholder management internally and externally

Systematic and structured to ensure adequate application process and archiving good communication skills and fluency in both Danish and English is a must, as English is the corporate language

About The Team
The Facility management organization is accountable for design and development of buildings and infrastructure on the Site. You will be a part of the Facility team which consist of 11 people, highly skilled within each of their areas.
Daily you will be working in close relationship with, your colleagues in the team, the Security team, the Facility manager as well as our many stakeholders on the site.
