Information Security Consultant, FedRAMP Audit

FITS is seeking an Information Security Consultant to support cloud cybersecurity compliance consulting and auditing. The ideal candidate will have meticulous attention to detail, strong communication skills, a broad understanding of IT and cybersecurity topics, and some prior experience with security controls.

Responsibilities

Engage in IT system security consultation within cloud-based environments in accordance with NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, and other cybersecurity frameworks.
Conduct client interviews and assessments of client cloud IT architecture for compliance with security requirements.
Evaluate risks associated with systems or planned changes and recommend mitigation strategies.
Develop IT security deliverables, including security policies, standards, plans, architectural guidance, and vulnerability reporting for client systems.
Educate clients on architecting and maintaining a compliant system efficiently.
Compare vulnerability scan output with system inventory to generate reports and drive remediation efforts.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field (e.g. cybersecurity, IT, computer science) or equivalent experience
