Purpose and role of job:The primary role is to improve the security and safety of the site by providing a presence to help manage contractor and visitor access and control their movement, monitor access to the plant and conduct security and safety patrols throughout the plant and grounds.Position Requirements:• Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.• Display and monitor the “Contractor/Visitor Calendar”, Gate Cameras, and Security Cameras on the desktop daily.• Answer the Contractor/Gate phone, before giving access, check to verify the contractor/visitor has approval to be on site.• Before the contractor/visitor is permitted access to the campus, check the Contractor Safety Database to verify the training has been completed.• If training is not completed the contractor is not permitted on the campus. Must notify the contractor that training must be completed before their return to work.• Identification is obtained from all contractors when they arrive at the front desk, prior to obtaining any type of badge, (access or ID).• The contractor/visitor’s name is recorded on the FQT Visitor Card with the name of the company, time they signed in and out and what type of badge. If an access badge is provided, the number of the badge is also recorded beside their name. Appropriate parking instructions are provided.• The Project Manager is notified and required to come to the lobby to escort the contractor/visitor to the approved work area.• An inventory is done daily to account for all access badges.• When there is a missing badge, the Project Manager is notified via e-mail requesting the badge be returned promptly.• Answer the Switchboard; direct calls and respond to questions as appropriate.• Must be assertive and firm, but not confrontational at all times• Maintain a presence at the lobby during high volume periods to check contractor and visitor badges in and out• Ensure contractors and visitors have prior approval and safety training if required prior to allowing access• Monitor security cameras• Monitor contractor/visitor parking throughout the site• Conduct security and safety patrols• Inspect and test fire and safety equipment as directed, i.e., fire extinguishers and safety lighting• Report suspicious activity to the appropriate people• Escort people out of the buildings/campus in the event of a disturbance• Maintain a log and provide reports of unsecure/unsafe conditions or significant events• Contact appropriate plant personnel for direction in urgent situations• Perform other tasks and assignments as directed by appropriate First Quality personnel• First Quality team members must follow all First Quality environmental, health and safety requirements as well as applicable federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulationsExperience/Qualifications Required:• High regard for professionalism and confidentiality• Good oral and written communication skills• Standard knowledge of computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office products• Previous security experience suggestedFirst Quality is committed to protecting information under the care of First Quality Enterprises commensurate with leading industry standards and applicable regulations.
