Fixed Income Intern

About this Opportunity:
As a Fixed Income Intern on the Portfolio Management Team, you will be responsible for tasks related to fixed income trading, credit research and portfolio management. As we continue to evolve and live our Orion values, we are looking for someone to grow with us.
In this role, you’ll get to:
  • Work with documentation of securities purchases and sales, including coordination of settlements with custodians and brokers.
  • Work with preparation and distribution of initial client portfolio reports.
  • Work with preparation and distribution of ad-hoc reports/analysis.
  • Trading fixed income instruments to help with reinvesting excess cash in client accounts.
  • Work with preparation and distribution of weekly/monthly reports on accounts (cash and concentration reports) and credit exposures (top exposures, credit migration, biggest movers, industry concentration, and watchlist).
  • Begin to develop relationships with advisors and basic working knowledge about analyzing fixed income instruments and portfolio management.
  • Assist with projects assigned by Manager
We’re looking for talent who:
  • Possess prior experience in general administrative or customer service duties
  • Has minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Is at least a current student in Junior or Senior standing working towards a bachelor’s degree in an applicable field
  • Are willing to obtain Orion Industry Certification
  • Owns and manages relationships with stakeholders directly and work effectively with people at all levels in an organization

Salary Range:
$13.37 - $18.27
The pay listed in this posting indicates the estimated pay at the time of this posting; however, may vary depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
