As an Associate Investment Research Analyst on the Investment and Portfolio/Fund Management Strategy & Analysis Team, you will be responsible for assisting in providing investment research and analysis to multiple product lines, including making investment recommendations, assisting with the development of analytic models, assessments and/or applications in support of portfolio and risk management efforts. Creating and delivering internal/external performance research reports, conducting analysis of performance attribution and producing communication material, including market commentary and client reviews for Orion. In this role, you’ll get to:
Provide support to investment strategy functions including portfolio analytics, monitoring investment strategies, assisting investment strategists with proposals, advisor and investor phone calls, allocation decisions, and creating marketing pieces, as well as providing money management functions as necessary, including but not limited to supporting the investment management team
Help create and maintain client performance presentations not less than quarterly, client/prospect presentations, conference slide decks including but not limited to economic presentations, and capital market reviews
Utilize analytics to assess future risk, opportunities, and effectiveness. Translate results into meaningful solutions to enhance decision making
Utilize industry best practices to quantify risk and aggregate exposures. Assist with development of systems and programs that measure aggregate risk exposures
Create statistical reporting and financial analysis to forecast results for required stress test scenarios. Analyze and challenge stress testing results
Create reports and charts with market/economic data via various sources and produce accompanying commentary to portfolio management team
Input, validate, analyze and report on data relevant to all separate accounts and total return portfolios
Research and prepare reports on economic data for integration into quarterly economic outlook
Identify and produce analysis on global research topics that support thought leadership at the firm
Present summarization of risk analysis to various levels of management
Write-up company overviews and proposals; build written investment cases with supporting documents and spreadsheets for those companies using Orion’s investment criteria; post commentary on Orion blog and various internal sites for viewing by clients and internals
Act as liaison between sales/marketing and the investment team
Create client reviews providing a detailed analysis of a client’s performance and commentary pertaining to client’s specific strategy
We’re looking for talent who:
Has minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or related field
Possess prior experience working within the financial services industry
Has the ability to obtain Service 65 License
Is wanting to or already working towards CFA
Obtain Orion Industry Certification
Owns and manages relationships with stakeholders directly and work effectively with people at all levels in an organization

Salary Range:
$53,633.00 - $78,768.00
