Brand Designer

Flex is building a finance super app for business owners — reimagining every single aspect of the financial workflow and financial services for any entrepreneur. The company has grown revenue 25x+ since publicly launching in September 2023 and is on track to achieve profitability by early 2025. Flex is focused on mid-market businesses ($3 - $100M revenue) that are largely overlooked by existing fintech solutions and reliant on slow and outdated regional banks.  We are targeting a ~$1T revenue opportunity that is largely up for grabs.


Flex is a fully remote company and this role can be performed from anywhere.


🕺 About the Role


Flex is seeking a talented Brand Designer to build and scale the marketing brand. Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Creative, this role will focus on developing the brand identity for both the Flex B2B brand, as well as the stealth B2C brand (launching in Q4, 2024). The Brand Designer will have the opportunity to translate the brand identity into full-scale marketing, such as website design, credit-card production, packaging, email marketing, swag, event production, and out-of-the-box data-driven creative campaigns across product and lifecycle. This role requires immense creativity, management of freelance talent, internal marketing, and is able to holistically scale with the business based on creative-data and proven results. 


What You’ll Do


Ensuring Creative Excellence: Build a Flex brand that is five-star, consistent across visual channels, and thoughtful, to ensure high-performing creative results with a focus on brand-building, revenue and brand-awareness. 

Hands-on Creation: Manage creative work hands-on, as a tactical and strategic designer, working across creative software tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, Midjourney, and other evolving tools within the Ai. landscape. 

Customer Driven Logic: Develop and continuously design the Flex brand to appeal to the correct audience, across all channels, speaking to the correct segments of the market with a strong understanding of the Flex ICP. 

Collaboration at Scale: Operate as a creative subject matter expert to lead creative conversations at all levels of the business, and project-manage creative execution with freelance and agency creative teams when needed.

Cross-Functional Consistency: Alignment with Product Design organization to ensure overall brand consistency, collaboration, and participation in cross-functional critiques. 

Print Creative Production: Carefully own and optimize creative assets when working with printing houses, credit card manufacturers, packaging firms, and event production companies.

Goal-Setting: Project manage brand and creative projects cross-functionally to deliver on budget, timeline, and goals.

⚡️ What You Bring


- Minimum of 2 years of graphic design experience working within a B2B, high-growth environment.

- A portfolio (or presentation) that showcases immense creativity, storytelling, attention to detail, and a strong sense of aesthetics amongst brand design projects.

- Strong competency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and creative Ai. tools, all while keeping the pulse on evolving software and tools in the field.

- Excellent time-management, communication, and project-management skills using task-management software such as Asana (or Jira, Monday, etc).

- Prior experience working across Marketing channels that have unique design requirements such as print-design, web-design, paid campaigns, affiliate, organic, events, influencer marketing, video management, with expertise in co-branding initiatives with partners.

- Designing web-assets to account for accessibility, ensuring reporting and legalities are thoughtfully considered across WCAG, ADA and AODA.

- Knowledgeable when working with web developers ensuring best practices across desktop, mobile, and UX/UI web-performance.

- Expert verbal and written communication skills including the ability to present and get buy-in at all levels of the organization, and manage a high-growth agile environment.

- Interest in working on video-production such as sourcing talent, production-days, event crews, with on-the-fly problem solving and carefully crafted run-of-show management.

- The ability to source, hire and retain top freelance, agency or consulting creative talent as needed.
