We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Flight Test Engineering Associate to join our team and support the design, build, assembly, integration, and test of airborne ISR systems. In this role, you will work closely with engineers, designers, technicians, and test pilots to ensure the successful development and test of our systems. You will plan and execute flight tests using manned and unmanned aircraft, primarily based at our facility at Logan-Cache airport, but also including remote locations.
Key Responsibilities:

Support the integration, assembly, and test of airborne ISR systems according to engineering specifications and project requirements

Assist in the installation of equipment, wiring, and components on aircraft

Design and build mechanical and electrical accessory equipment
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues

Conduct system tests and inspections to ensure functionality, performance, and compliance with industry standards

Maintain accurate records of maintenance, tests, and equipment configurations

Participate in design reviews and provide feedback to improve system integration processes

Follow safety protocols and best practices to ensure safe flight operations
Required Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree in aviation technology or a related field, preferably with an emphasis in unmanned aerial systems (UAS), or equivalent five years’ experience in an associate engineering capacity

Experience working around aircraft and a familiarity with their systems and operation

Working knowledge of computers, electronic circuits, and electrical test equipment

Familiarity with assembly and integration processes, including wiring, equipment installation, and component testing

Proficient in reading and interpreting technical specifications, diagrams, and engineering drawings

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Occasional to frequent field work is required which may involve travel away from home for days or weeks at a time
- Must be a US citizen

Active DoD security clearance or ability to obtain
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Experience with airborne ISR systems and related technologies (GPS, networks, radios, etc.)

Experience with unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and related systems

Competency in DC and AC circuit concepts, component characteristics, circuit prototyping and testing

Competency in Analog and Digital circuit concepts, component characteristics, circuit prototyping and testing
-
Knowledge of FAA regulations and policies
