The Opportunity 

As Flock has grown rapidly, bringing new products to market, the complexity of our operations has grown with it. Also, as we mature, our customers' expectations for the reliability and polish of our delivery and ongoing maintenance of their products has grown. We need to build better experiences for our customers to understand how their project is progressing and to see how live locations are performing.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Own and track key KPIs for your business segment, using data-driven insights to drive decision-making.

  • Bridge the gap between Product & Operations, ensuring seamless communication and alignment.

  • Identify and address gaps in People, Process, and Product, proposing impactful improvements.

  • Define & prioritize requirements for your segment, farming these requirements out to the various teams.

  • Collaborate directly with internal development teams, crafting user stories and driving day-to-day business requirements.

  • Partner with Product Operations to track the success of projects, define ROI for new projects, and roll out improvements into the Operations group.

  • Communicate progress keeping stakeholders informed on key milestones and development updates.

The Skillset

  • Have 3+ years of experience in Product Management or a similar role

  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written & verbal)

  • Are excited about working on a fast-paced, constantly evolving set of products

  • Can work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively

  • Have experience collaborating directly with engineers and development teams and writing business requirements at a developer level

  • Have worked  with designers to help craft intuitive customer facing products

  • (Bonus) Have experience working with distributed devices / IOT systems

  • (Bonus) Have worked with/in Operations teams specifically Support organizations

  • (Bonus) Have experience with 3rd party / contractor field services

  • (Bonus) Have strong knowledge of SQL and have a data-driven product building mindset

90 Days at Flock

We are a results-oriented culture and believe job descriptions are a thing of the past. We prescribe to 90-day plans and believe that good days lead to good weeks, which lead to good months. This serves as a preview of the 90-day plan you will receive if you were to be hired in this role at Flock Safety.

The First 30 Days

  • Learn Flock's existing operational systems and customer-facing tools that are used to communicate project progress and location health

The First 60 Days 

  • Build up the next quarter roadmap for the customer-facing operational systems

  • Launch our new Vendor Services portal

  • Drive consensus on the next-generation customer-facing location health page

90 Days & Beyond 

  • Drive the day to day operations of your product team, writing stories and creating amazing experiences for our customers

The Interview Process 

We want our interview process to be a true reflection of our culture: transparent and collaborative. Throughout the interview process, your recruiter will guide you through the next steps and ensure you feel prepared every step of the way. 

  1. Our First Chat: During this first conversation, you’ll meet with a recruiter to chat through your background, what you could bring to Flock, what you are looking for in your next role, and who we are. 

  2. The Hiring Manager Interview: You will meet with your potential future boss to really dive into the role, the team, expectations, and what success means at Flock. This is your chance to really nerd out with someone in your field. 

  3. The Panel: Learn more about the team, responsibilities, and workflows. You should be prepared to speak about past projects, how you collaborate and communicate with others, and how you live our values. Depending on the team and role you are interviewing for, you may meet with several teammates as well as cross-functional partners. 

  4. The Executive Review: A chance to meet an executive and view Flock from a different lens. Be prepared to ask well-thought-out questions about the company, culture, and more. 

Salary & Equity

In this role, you’ll receive a starting salary between  $130,000-$170,000 as well as Flock Safety Stock Options.

At Flock Safety, we compensate our employees fairly for their work. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, as well as market indicators.
