We are seeking a versatile and motivated individual to join our team as a Release Manager. This role will manage the end-to-end release process for all Fluence software products – currently Nispera, Mosaic, and FluenceOS. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Agile methodologies, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality product releases efficiently.


As a Release Manger, you will work with some of the smartest people in the industry to deliver market-leading energy storage products and digital applications for renewables and storage that enable the global clean energy transition. 


What does a Release Manager do at Fluence?
  • Plan and schedule product releases in coordination with product management, software architecture/infrastructure, development, quality assurance, and operations teams 
  • Manage release timelines and communications, ensuring that release activities are well-coordinated and well-communicated
  • Proactively monitor release progress and identify, communicate, and mitigate release risks
  • Coordinate with product and program managers to help oversee the deployment of product releases into production environments, working to minimize disruptions and downtime
  • Collaborate with program managers and lab testing teams to align software releases with system lab testing milestones
  • 2-4 of managing a team of release coordinators and/or delivery managers
  • Partner with quality assurance teams to monitor test plans and execution, ensuring the quality of product releases
  • Monitor post-release performance, gather user feedback, and collaborate with relevant teams to address any issues in the process promptly

  • Experience developing dashboards to track KPIs
  • Relevant experience in quality assurance, delivery management, and/or Agile coaching
  • Nice to have: Experience applying Agile methods to cyber-physical products (integrated hardware + software products); experience as an Agile Release Train Engineer or release manager; experience in JIRA administration; certification and knowledge of Agile methods, such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Kanban-EXP, SAFe, etc.
