Community Success Specialist - Public Support - Temporary (remote position)

Summary

The Community Support Specialist - Public Support - Temporary joins our existing Community Success Team members during major Food Revolution Network (FRN) events, such as our annual Food Revolution Summit (FRS) and its autumn relaunch, to provide exceptional assistance to our entire community of viewers, subscribers, customers, and readers who reach out to engage with FRN via public-facing channels, including blog articles, FRN’s Summit broadcast page, and the paid member platform. All FRN Success team members communicate with compassion and proficiency and have strong analytical skills, which they use for writing, problem-solving, communicating, and using FRN’s Community Team stack of technology.

Reports to: Community Success Manage

Core Responsibilities

• Provide support — answering questions, offering encouragement, sharing resources, etc. — during each day’s live broadcast of the Food Revolution Summit, as well as during replay hours
• Moderate blog article comment threads — answering questions, offering encouragement, removing spam, etc.
• Assist the Community Success Manager in preparing for the live Ask the Experts Q&A event (Spring only)
• Provide logistical and practical support to viewers during the live Ask the Experts Q&A event on the paid member platform Spring only)
• Contribute to daily reports for FRN Leadership as requested
• Report issues of concern to the Community Success Manager or other Team leads
• Position Commitment: Part-time hourly, from September 9 - 29, 2024

Requirements

Experience

• Previous Community Support/Customer Service and online communications experience
• Social media engagement
• Knowledge of and experience with whole food plant-based nutrition

Skills

• Excellent writing skills
• Excellent computer competency with both Mac and PC
• Technical troubleshooting ability (i.e., helping customers with platform navigation and finding resources.)
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Compensation

$20-$22/hour, depending on skill level and experience.

Work Location

FRN is a fully remote team, with team members in multiple North American time zones. This position may be performed from anywhere, provided you can coordinate your schedule with the US Pacific Time Zone.
