Overview(This role will be Remote)As the Sr. Employee Relations Manager, you will play a crucial role in promoting a positive workplace culture and ensuring effective employee relations within the organization. You will be responsible for managing and resolving complex employee relations issues, implementing HR policies and procedures, and collaborating with various departments to enhance overall team member satisfaction and engagement for all North America Supply Chain locations. This role extends beyond the typical responsibilities of a Sr. Employee Relations Manager, requiring a heightened level of leadership, strategic thinking, partnership, and collaboration.Responsibilities• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on employee relations issues.• Lead the development and implementation of employee relations strategies to enhance the overall workplace environment.• Works with the VP, Labor and Employee Relations and with other stakeholders as needed to develop and maintain a Company-wide labor relations strategy for North America.• Proven ability to communicate effectively with key business partners.• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.• Serve as the escalation point for challenging employee relations issues, leveraging experience to navigate sensitive situations with diplomacy.• Partner with senior management to anticipate workforce dynamics and devise proactive strategies to mitigate potential issues.• Conducts complex and sensitive Team Member investigations, including determining appropriate investigation strategies, summarizing findings, and recommending appropriate resolutions.• Collaborates closely with HRBPs, and other business partners through a consultative approach to help assess organization effectiveness, recommendations, and develop and implement integrated action plans that increase employee engagement, performance, retention, and development.• Create well-written, thorough investigation-related documents, including talking points, action plans, and recommendations.• Accountable to address and resolve team member concerns positively that benefits all parties and facilitates healthy work relationships.• Must keep Employee Relations legislation expertise for designated business group.• Interpret and apply understanding of business practices, corporate policies, regulations, federal, state, provincial, and local employment laws to include complex and sensitive employee relations matters.• Assist Legal with information needed for litigations and agency claims.• Analyzes Employee Relations data to determine themes, trends, and root causes to provide insights, training, and recommendations.• Prepare reports and recommendations for senior management based on employee relations metrics.• Works in partnership with the Supply Chain Director of HR to identify, create, and enforce new and evolving employee relations challenges across the Foot Locker organization to prevent adverse impact, mitigate risk, and bolster organizational change.• Furthers the Diversity Inclusion and Belonging strategy, principles, and pillars.• Promotes knowledge and understanding of Company policies and of relevant employment laws through coaching, presentations, and training.• Creates and assists in conjunction with the Supply Chain Director of HR, the designing of programs that ensure the fair treatment of Team Members and effective communication between Team Members and managers.• Assists with ideation of employee relations content, project work, and other duties as assigned.Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or HR certification is a plus.• Minimum of 6+ years Employee Relations, HR Business Partner, or equivalent role experience.• Demonstrated experience leading a wide variety of complex employee investigations.• Ability to manage multiple projects with strong time management and prioritization skills.• Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, provincial, and local employment laws and regulations.• Proven ability to make judgment calls and sound, ethical decisions displaying a heightened level of responsibility, confidentiality, integrity, compassion, and professionalism.• Proficiency in analyzing Employee Relations metrics and utilizing data to inform decision-making.• Ability to assess sensitive and complex employee relations issues in a confidential, objective, and systematic manner.• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.• Excellent communication and presentation skills, including verbal and written.• SHRM or HRCI certification is a plus.• Some experience with a union workforce as an HR Business Partner or in a labor and employee relations capacity, preferred.BenefitsThe annual base salary range is $100,000 - $120,000 / year. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
