JOB DESCRIPTIONIn this position...In Ford Motor Company's Instrument Cluster engineering organization, we create and industrialize innovative driver information technologies to enable new, enhanced driver experiences. Our Instrument Clusters offer best-in-class performance with easy-to-use HMI and appealing digital and analog designs, and use the newest industry leading technologies, while delivering on commonality to drive scale and affordability.This Application Engineer position is focused on the application of new Instrument Clusters into future vehicle programs. The engineer is expected to lead and manage these integration projects, coordinating all the various internal organizations and suppliers that together co-create high quality Instrument Clusters that launch on time and on budget.RESPONSIBILITIESWhat you'll do...Ford is seeking a highly motivated leader who leverages existing knowledge and experience to quickly pick up new skills and knowledge. Must be comfortable with communication in large forums and be able to simplify and communicate complex concepts. This individual should have experience working cross-functionally with an ability to quickly build rapport and relationships. This individual should also have a demonstrated history of success leading complex projects with suppliers.Lead Application Engineering activities for Instrument Cluster programs (Electrical PMT support, prototype builds and launch, Integrator, FEDEBOM, JIRA, WERS, ED&T, PCP, VSEM, FEDE, DEMS/ AIMS, etc.)• Interface with design studio and supply base to develop instrument clusters to support program timing. Ensure products meet functions, quality, cost, weight and timing requirements• Manage the product development process from product planning to component development, component and sub system validation through program launch• Manage the suppliers to meet program timing• Hold weekly PAT and TDRs as necessary and coordinate with program HMI development team• Troubleshoot and root cause analysis for software and hardware (related) issuesQUALIFICATIONSYou'll have...• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science or related degree; or foreign equivalency degree, or a combination of equivalency experience and education• 3+ years' experience Product or module experienceEven better, you may have...• 5+ years' experience Project management experience.• 5+ years' experience Design & Release experienceYou may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice.
