Utilizes forklift, pallet jacks, personal computer, and radio frequency (RF) equipment to perform job. This job requires good physical strength and stamina. Utilizes warehouse management (WM) system to locate inventory and replenish multiple pick areas. Labels incoming inventory. Performs inventory cycle counts, researches variances, and assists inventory control with audits. Performs daily forklift safety checklist and preventative maintenance on equipment. Rotates to other warehouse functions, i.e., Order Filler I and II, as needed. Maintains goodwill by performing service-related activities and actively pursuing Golden Rule Service. Performs duties and responsibilities based on business needs and in accordance with work instructions and accepted standards.

  • Stocks the pick line by scanning the location and the requested number of cases. Opens, prepares, and loads cases into bulk flow racks. Lifts cases to shoulder level or over head to place product on pallets or bulk rack. Returns remaining inventory to original bulk location or to other bulk location through the suggested put away function. Accesses the Replenish Active program through the RF to stock secondary locations such as Starter Kit and backorder area as directed by Supervisor.

  • Utilizes RF and WM system to access system generated tasks to stock the pick line and secondary warehouse locations. Locates product in reserve bulk location. Verifies the inventory part number matches system generated request. Scans location bar code to remove the inventory from bulk storage.

  • Notifies Supervisor when the actual inventory in a system generated task location does not match the requested inventory part number. Once notification has occurred and the task is deleted by the Supervisor, a cycle count on the location is performed to correct the inventory discrepancy. Assists Distribution Coordinator with empty slot audit report to locate inventory “In Inventory, Not Put Away” status. Performs empty slot location count to determine capacity levels in warehouses. Removes inventory from active pick locations based on line changes for new product promotions.

  • Loads and unloads trucks on the receiving dock as needed, applies bar code label to cases, and moves product to reserve locations. Prepares pallets for backhaul including palletizing cases and stretch wrapping/securing load to minimize damage in transit. Loads product orders and Starter Kits on to UPS truck to ship to independent sales force.

  • Performs additional system generated cycle counts as assigned. Completes system generated cycle counts by scanning each case on the pallet. Assists Inventory Control with reconciliation of variances.

  • Performs miscellaneous duties as required such as working on the pick line filling orders, checking stock rotation, performing preventive maintenance on various equipment such as box machine, tape machine, and strapping machine, may perform building maintenance, performs general cleaning, makes boxes, runs errands, etc.

  • Must be able to learn WM terminology/acronyms and understand radio frequency functions to perform tasks. Must be able to learn OSHA standards and be able to demonstrate competency in safety workplace procedures. Must be able to learn Hazardous Material Shipping regulations as required to perform shipping related functions.
  • Must be able to perform basic arithmetic as demonstrated by successfully passing a math test including addition, subtraction, simple multiplication, and division required to calculate and ensure inventory accuracy. Must be able to read, understand, and accept system directed work instruction as demonstrated by successfully passing a reading proficiency test to verify inventory part numbers and to stock inventory accurately.
  • Must have the physical stamina to move objects weighing up to 70 pounds to categorize merchandise in bulk stock area and fill flow racks with inventory.
  • Must be able to successfully complete Mary Kay Inc. forklift certification within probationary period of 90 days and be able to demonstrate competency to operate a variety of industrial powered trucks safely. An evaluation of the operator’s performance is conducted at least once every three years.
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk 40% of the time to drive stand up forklift, load trucks, and check incoming freight; lift 30% of the time to load product in bulk flow racks; push/pull, reach, or stoop 25% of the time to inspect, unload, and break down inventory; and climb 5% of the time to conduct inventories.
  • Incumbent must have sufficient visual acuity to operate forklift safely including yielding to pedestrian traffic and to identify and place various products in double deep bulk storage racks. Also, the incumbent must have good eye/hand coordination to operate forklift efficiently.
  • Must have basic PC skills to operate WM system.
  • Must be very detail-oriented to verify inventory information.
  • Must possess a strong work ethic to accomplish goals and Company objectives.
  • Must be able to utilize interpersonal skills to work well with and for others within the department and the Company.
  • Incumbent must be able to maintain an attendance record in good standing. More specifically, incumbent is required to meet all "Attendance and Punctuality" guidelines as specified in Employee Handbook and is expected to know and follow all safety rules, policies, and procedures.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Working Conditions


  • Facility may or may not be climate controlled.
  • Incumbent is occasionally exposed to dust and moderate noise, and hazards normally associated with powered conveyors and automated case sealer operations.
  • Incumbent is subject to other hazards such as proximity to moving mechanical parts.
  • Incumbent may be required to work overtime, weekends or Company holidays as workload demands.
