FORKLIFT OPERATOR - job 1 of 2

Forklift Operator We are hiring immediately for a Forklift operator to prepare, load/unload and store steel bar material. If your background includes forklift operator or related experience and excellent customer service skills, please apply!

Responsibilities

• Load/Unload steel bar material by operating a 58,000 lbs. forklift and overhead crane.
• Comprehend written instructions to select proper material per customer requirements.
• Must be able to wear personal protective gear 8 to 12 hours per day and follow all safety policies.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and occasionally lift/carry 50/80 pounds.
• Must be able climb up and down 12 steps repeatedly during shift.
• Must be capable of working in inclement weather.
• Operates yard truck, pneumatic tools, and hand tools to assist with shipping and receiving steel.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; e.g. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc, plus 0 to 6 months related experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Valid driver's license.
