Lead Performance Development Engineer

We’re seeking a Lead Performance Development Engineer – Vehicle Dynamics to join our rapidly growing team. Reporting to our Development Manager – Vehicle Performance, you will lead the development of the Vehicle Dynamics hardware and software to defined attribute targets. This Role will work closely with Vehicle Dynamics Programme, Attribute & Simulation teams to plan, deliver and validate the driven vehicle dynamics attributes to targets set by the Vehicle Performance team.

This pivotal role will operate in a hybrid capacity from our offices near Leamington Spa. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most visionary minds in the automotive field.

What you’ll do

·        Lead the Vehicle Dynamics Development and Tuning Plan

·        Lead the development of the Vehicle Dynamics hardware tune in line with attribute targets set by the Vehicle Performance Team using hardware and software tools provided by the Vehicle Dynamics and Vehicle Software teams.

·        Understands how Attribute & System tests fit within the overall attribute validation process

·        Engage in competitor benchmarking

·        Engage in workstreams within multi-disciplined cross-functional attribute/system team

·        Be a key member of Performance Development Team

·        Deliver a robust Engineering DVP  in line with the master asset timing plan.

·        Support Test Facility nomination.

·        Support Issue resolution

Who you are

·        Experience in Vehicle Dynamics Development

·        Degree in Engineering or Similar

·        Experience using data acquisition and instrumentation systems

·        Experience with K&C data, subjective ride and handling assessments and spring/damper hardware tuning
