DESCRIPTION: The VP Product is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and passionate individual to join the team at Foundry, a subsidiary of the blockchain industry’s most prolific and active investor, Digital Currency Group.

Reporting to the CTO, the VP Product will lead our dynamic team of product managers and designers. This leadership role is critical in driving the strategic direction of our products, overseeing the entire product lifecycle, and ensuring alignment with our company’s goals and objectives. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our product portfolio and contribute to our continued growth and success.

Primary Responsibilities:

What you will do:

  • Product Leadership and Strategy:
    • Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy in alignment with the company's overall objectives.
    • Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of product managers and designers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
    • Drive cross-functional collaboration with engineering, marketing, sales, and other teams to ensure product success.
  • Product Lifecycle Management:
    • Oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch and beyond, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.
    • Define product roadmaps, prioritize features, and make data-driven decisions to optimize product performance and user satisfaction.
    • Continuously evaluate market trends, customer feedback, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Team Development and Management:
    • Recruit, onboard, and develop top talent within the product management and design teams.
    • Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to team members, empowering them to excel in their roles and achieve their career goals.
    • Establish clear goals and performance metrics and hold team members accountable for results.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Serve as a key liaison between the product team and senior leadership, providing regular updates on product initiatives, milestones, and KPIs.
    • Collaborate with executives, customers, and partners to gather insights, validate product strategies, and foster strong relationships.
  • Product Innovation and Excellence:
    • Champion a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, encouraging experimentation and risk-taking.
    • Drive product excellence by maintaining a relentless focus on user experience, usability, and product quality.
    • Promote a data-driven approach to product development, leveraging analytics and user feedback to drive informed decisions.

Minimum qualifications; Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, engineering, or related field.
  • Proven track record of success in product management or related roles, with at least 5 years of experience in leadership positions, with preference given to senior leadership experience.
  • Deep understanding of product management methodologies, design thinking principles, and agile development practices.
  • Deep understanding of Cryptocurrency and Blockchain technologies
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear and actionable plans.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire others at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a passion for driving innovation and delivering results.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate and engage a team and establish positive partnerships with key stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications; Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • MBA or advanced degree
  • Excellent networking skills with a wide range of industry connections
  • Experience with risk management and compliance practices
  • Experience working in a start-up environment and effectively scaling products

A range of compensation is provided for transparency, however different factors may affect this range. Some of these factors may include (but are not limited to) education, training, credentials, skills, geographic location, and experience. This range only includes base compensation and does not include other tangible benefits such as 401K match, bonuses, overtime pay, and other benefits.
Range of Compensation: $175,000-$225,000/year
