FP&A Senior Manager, Sales Business Partner

Treasure Data is recruiting a sales finance business partner to join our strong FP&A team. In this role, you will partner directly with our Chief Business Officer (CBO), Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), regional Vice President of Sales, and other key stakeholders across the company in meeting our bookings and revenue targets. You will collaborate with finance and sales business leaders across the globe (North America, Japan, and EMEA) to develop our annual sales plan, manage and own regional sales budgets, and report on KPIs including bookings, quota-carrying reps, attainment, and commissions. This is a high visibility role and will report directly to the Vice President of Finance and Investor Relations. Given the geographic diversity of our sales team, this position is expected to accommodate the timing needs of our regional sales leaders.

The ideal candidate should have demonstrated experience of working with fast growing sales organizations associated with a SaaS business model. Additionally, they will bring exceptional analytical skills, strong communications skills, a keen attention to details, proactive in meeting the needs of the various sales leaders, and bias toward action.

Position is located in Mountain View, CA but open to a remote candidate in the PST, MST or CST time zones

What you will do

    • Ownership of five-year budgets for account executives, sales engineering, sales/account development representatives, and sales operations.
    • Prepare budget variance to actual (BvA) monthly reports for the current fiscal year and share actionable insights with the CBO, CRO and finance leaders
    • Prepare sales reporting presentation related to communication of annual plan and other ad-hoc presentations to sales executive team
    • Participate in the sales forecast calls and sales QBRs, incorporate any changes to sales plan based on the information gathered and communicate the plan changes to various stakeholdersBuild sales commission plan/stack for the annual planning process
    • Work with Treasure Data recruiting team to make sure that the sales recruiting plan is in sync with the budget hiring plan
    • Build strong, collaborative relationships with key business partners including CBO, CRO, VP of Revenue Operations, and regional sales VPs and serve as the trusted finance partner to the sales organization
    • Support strategic business decisions through financial modeling and analysis; identify areas of risk and opportunity and proactively provide suggestions for action and improvement
    • Implement processes and tools needed to support sales financePromote FP&A best practices across FP&A teamPerform ad hoc financial analyses and operational work as required

Desired Experience and Skills

    • 7+ years of relevant experience in FP&A or Strategic Finance.
    • Experience in supporting sales teams is a must. High-growth, public company B2B SaaS experience and/or background in investment banking or related fields is a plus
    • Skilled in nurturing cross functional relationships, influencing decisions at the highest levels, and driving alignment on strategic priorities and financial objectives. Seen as a trusted and objective advisor to CxOs and sales leaders
    • Strong communication skills are a must
    • Ability to multitask with a high attention to detail, a sense of personal accountability, and a sense of urgency to accomplish tasks/projects
    • Must have a strong understanding of SaaS business model and sales KPI metrics. Ability to apply these concepts in formulating sales budgets and guiding leadership decision making across both short and long-term sales plans
    • Ability to distill complex business information into consumable executive narratives and actionable insights
    • Proficiency with sales and financial systems, including Salesforce, Clari, NetSuite, and Adaptive Insights
    • Should have expert level proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets. Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI is a plus
    • Track record of high integrity, strong work ethic, self-motivation, collaboration, a demonstrated ability to learn quickly
