As a DevOps Engineer at Freeletics, you’ll be a key part of our infrastructure crew. You will contribute to a lean engineering team that values collaboration, constant improvement, and positive feedback. In addition to managing the infrastructure, you align with your team on DevOps related topics and deliver quality automation practices within an agile Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery environment.

Your Responsibilities
  • Keep our heavily used production platform robust and resilient to be available 24x7
  • Improve our existing platform concerning scalability, deployment, and reliability to keep and increase our availability beyond 99.977%
  • Implement and advocate for using continuous integration and continuous delivery best practices across the engineering teams
  • Monitor the platform to create insights and support troubleshooting
  • Share the knowledge regarding operation topics with the engineering team and give back to the community whenever you can through meetups, blogs, opensource, etc.


Your Profile
  • Substantial professional experience of working in an environment that supports continuous integration, continuous delivery, continuous testing, and adoption of “infrastructure as code” practices
  • Experience in containerising applications and CI/CD systems (e.g Github Actions, GitLab CI/CD, FluxCD, ArgoCD) 
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes environments and related tools (e.g Helm, Linkerd, Istio, CNIs, OPA) 
  • Experience with public cloud environments (e.g. AWS) and platform automation
  • Very good knowledge in managing and tuning PostgreSQL servers
  • Experience with platform monitoring (e.g. New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)
  • Familiarity operating Ruby on Rails applications is a strong advantage
  • Very good communicator, team player, and you enjoy working in an Agile environment
