Front-end Engineer

Since March 2020, Section4 has educated 20,000 students across 90+ countries by democratizing access to world-class business education. We're now scaling our operation, with the goal of bringing elite professors and industry leaders, highly engaging content, and an unparalleled professional network to hundreds of thousands of learners worldwide.

Section4 is hiring a Front-end Engineer to own critical parts of our user-facing product. You'll be working with a small, tightly integrated team of designers, developers and product managers. As a small but growing team, this is a critical and high impact role in a fast moving environment. Our ideal teammate moves quickly, enjoys the full span of engaging with users, defining product UX, architecting, testing, and implementing to learn and validate product value.

This is a remote position based in the US.

In this role you will build new product features including

    • A novel e-learning experience for business people
    • Synchronous and asynchronous communication interfaces
    • Synchronous and asynchronous video interfaces
    • Interactive feedback elements
    • Dashboards for students and enterprise buyers
    • As an early member of our technical staff, shape how we think about engineering culture, tech innovation and scalability, as well as help grow our team

Who you are

    • Experience with and excitement about modern front-ends
    • 5+ years of modern front-end engineering experience
    • Familiarity with our front-end stack: TypeScript, React
    • Experience with modern JavaScript tooling, i.e. webpack, eslint
    • Experience with building large and complex SPA with multiple partners and teams
    • Experience conducting code reviews and mentoring team members
    • Really helpful if you've worked at a B2C software company, or otherwise have experience building software at a fast growing startup
