As a front end software engineer you will be working on creating the most cutting edge, institutional grade trading and clearing system to power the next generation digital asset exchange. In this role you will work closely with other technologists and trading experts to design, develop, and improve on our critical trading and clearing systems.

The systems you will work on will facilitate operations groups that support trading and price discovery by enabling sophisticated market participants to connect, submit orders, and process market data to make trading decisions. Given the critical nature of these systems, they must be designed with high availability and high performance as a key requirement.

• Design, develop, and maintain administrative systems for trading and clearing web applications
• Ensure high quality software is delivered
• Understand exchange business and priorities
• Support software in production as needed
• Recommend improvements to UI/UX and customer experience

• 2+ years of experience
• Experience with client-side software development, building single-page web applications
• Experience in a web-based retail focused industry
• Proven experience solving complicated, open ended problems
• Experience designing algorithms and data structures
• Hands on experience building financial systems is a plus

• Solid knowledge JavaScript, CSS, HTML and Node.js
• Knowledge and experience working with with mainstream frameworks like React.js or Angular JS
• Practical knowledge of web tooling such as Webpack, NPM, Yarn, Gulp and PostCSS
• Understanding of ES6 and newer ES specifications
• Experience with Typescript is a definite bonus. Willingness to use Typescript is a must
• Proficient with Chrome developer tools. Knows how to diagnose and fix performance issues
• Passionate about building distributed, scalable, reliable, services
• Knowledge of concurrency, resiliency, caching, HTTP and REST
• Experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum, Kanban)
• Linux
• Source control management
• Strong interest in trading and finance
• Highly motivated, collaborative, self starter
