Job Description


Provide technical support to the Bosch fuel cell research team for fuel cell testing and characterization. The intern responsibility includes fuel cell testing, including operating fuel cell test benches, processing and interpretating testing results and carrying out physical analysis (e.g., cross-sectional SEM, Raman, microXRD). Additional responsibility includes adjusting testing setup for particular measurements and developing lab scale CCM fabrication process.


Qualifications


Required Qualification:

  • Obtained or currently pursuing MS or Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Sciences or related technical fields
  • Strong foundation on fuel cell and electrochemistry
  • Experience with fuel cell testing equipment
  • Experience with catalyst coated membrane processing and fabrication
  • Experience with data processing and interpretation
  • Be enthusiastic and able to collaborate in a team environment
  • Curious and passionate about learning and exploring
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into simple to understand, communicable ideas

Desired Qualification:

  • Hands on experience in PEFC testing hardware and equipment.
  • Familiar with MEA and short stack assembly
  • Hands on experience with fuel cell component characterization
  • Hands on experience with fuel cell testing hardware design
  • Experience with data analysis automation, script coding and interpretation
  • Publications to demonstrate past work in the fuel cell field

Additional Information


The U.S. base salary range for this intern position is $29.00-$61.00 hourly. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, type of degree, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, type of position, job location, etc. Your Hiring Manager can share more details about the specific salary range for this position during the interview process.
