QA Lead - Manual & Automation (REMOTE)

Join our dynamic team to steer our technological voyage as we scale our flagship SaaS product, actively used by millions every month.

We are in search of a seasoned QA Lead to play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our product. You'll lead a talented team of manual and automated testers. Your expertise will guide our product to excellence, ensuring a seamless experience for our users.

Key Responsibilities:

Testing Strategy & Implementation:

  • Define, establish and document manual and automated QA processes and policies.
  • Research, define and implement test strategies suitable for a fast-paced SaaS environment.
  • Deep understanding of the product with the aim of anticipating different outcomes related to the development process and proactively establishing testing policies to validate these changes.
  • Oversee the testing teams during the creation of detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases. Support the execution of these plans
  • Oversee the efforts of Automated QAs
  • Collaborate with the product and development teams to ensure alignment on quality benchmarks.
  • Ensure KPIs on application speed, stability and security
  • Ensure QA KPIs are systematically reached and surpassed

 Leadership & Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of manual and automated testers demonstrating a hands on approach.
  • Assign tasks, monitor workload, and ensure timely completion of testing cycles.
  • Conduct performance reviews, facilitate training, and assist in hiring new team members.

 Automated Testing:

  • Champion and oversee the implementation and maintenance of test automation frameworks with the automation testers (including client-side performance tests, speed, etc).
  • Integrate QA processes with CI/CD pipelines, ensuring automated tests run during deployments.
  • Oversee performance testing
  • Monitor automated tests, analyzing failures, and ensuring timely bug fixes.

Manual Testing Oversight:

  • Direct manual testing efforts, ensuring all features are thoroughly tested by the manual testers.
  • Ensure that the team effectively logs, tracks, and communicates defects.
  • Foster an environment where testers actively discuss challenges and collaborate on solutions.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all QA matters.
  • Regularly update stakeholders on QA progress, risks, and results.
  • Participate in release decisions, providing insights from a quality perspective.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Analyze metrics, feedback, and market trends to continuously improve testing strategies.
  • Drive innovations in QA tools, processes, and best practices.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in software quality assurance
  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a QA lead or similar role, preferably in a SaaS company.
  • Hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing.
  • Good knowledge of test case management tools (XRay, TestRail).
  • Familiarity with automation tools such as Playwright, Lighthouse  Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools and processes.
  • Proficiency in QA methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • You must possess one of the following certificates: CMST, CMSQ, CTAL-TM, CTEL-TM-MTT, CTEL-TM-OTM, CTEL-TM-SM
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Deep understanding of scripting languages Typescript and JS
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with SaaS-specific challenges and cloud technologies.
  • Understanding of system architectures (apis, servers, components, coms, auths, etc).
  • Understanding of practical application of different automation test scenarios (frontend/webapp testing techniques).
  • Obsessive attention to pixel perfectness, UI, UX etc.
