General Freeze-Dry Associate (Crew D) - job 2 of 2

Sign-on Bonus up to $2,000

Position Summary: This position is responsible for performing various tasks to support the processing and packaging of food. A majority of the time will be spent in a processing environment completing duties assigned by the team leader or department supervisor.

Primary Job Responsibilities

Prepare quality product for the drying process in the safest manner
Package dried product
Some Paperwork is involved
General Material Handling; cases, pallets, trolleys, totes, etc.
Use Pallet Jack to transfer product through the facility
Inspect for Defects
Packaging Department Assignments
Other Production Duties as Assigned

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours.
Lifting of up to 50lbs. may be required
Will work in freezer conditions (-10 deg F) for extended periods of time

Strong verbal and written communication skills
Practical learning (assimilating and applying new information)

Skills and Technical Expertise:

Strong understanding of food safety including GMP’s, SSOP’s and HACCP
Ability to operate small machinery
Ability to read and understand relevant documents
Driving continuous improvement

Preferred Experience

General production
Experience in food manufacturing environment
