Position Summary
Our factory in Jefferson, Wisconsin is in the southern part of the state at the confluence of the Rock and Crawfish rivers. We are one of the largest manufacturers within the area, shipping more than 3,000 truckloads and 400 railcars of product annually, which equates to over 38 million cases of Fancy Feast®, Elegant Medley®, Friskies®, and Pro Plan®. Of this mass production, our Jefferson factory donates 1.2 million cans of food per year to support over 40 animal shelters and organizations.
As a General Laborer, you are a true value and critical team member. You’ll train in several areas within the production environment so you can effectively provide support to your assigned position and ensure you can effectively be a part of our safety policies and procedures. Since we’re a safety-first culture, much of your responsibility will focus on ensuring top-notch maintenance and cleanliness around the equipment is completed. This is an excellent role to learn all about our company environment and procedures and is a great starting point for developing a long-term career with Nestle Purina.
These are full-time positions available with multiple shift options:
- Days from 4:00am-4:00pm, alternating two-week schedule that has 3 workdays one week and 4 workdays the next, resulting in two 3-day weekends every month and plenty of time off during the week.
- Nights from 4:00pm-4:00am, alternating two-week schedule that has 3 workdays one week and 4 workdays the next, resulting in two 3-day weekends every month and plenty of time off during the week.
- (2nd Shift) 2:00pm-10:00pm, 5 days per week with scheduled weekend work.
- (3rd Shift) 10:00pm - 6:00am, 5 days per week with scheduled weekend work.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure a clean and safe production environment including sanitation, sweeping, cleaning of machinery, and removal of trash and recycling.
- Safely operate production equipment.
- Complete quality checks and meet product specifications.
- Provide support to operators in Packaging, Processing, and Warehouse departments.
- Develop working knowledge of production equipment and operations
- All other duties as assigned.
Other
- 3+ months of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, military, or related environment preferred.
- Must be available to work overnights and weekends.
