We are looking for a General Legal Counsel to join our rapidly growing team. You must be based in Ireland, the UK or USA.
About this Role (Responsibilities):
- Providing strategic advice to key business stakeholders that supports efficient and effective solutions and articulates legal and commercial risks to inform decision making.
- Drive commercial SaaS agreement negotiations with the world’s leading pharma, biotech, research organizations.
- Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial agreements, including global services, partnership, marketing, and other go to market agreements.
- Create and/or update standard commercial agreements, privacy policies, terms of use, employment agreements, and other commercial agreements.
- Standardize and expand RFP / RFI processes across the global organization.
- Managing external legal support where required.
- Coordinate with other internal functions to ensure internal business alignment and compliance with laws, rules, and regulations.
- Foster an environment of continuous learning and enablement.
About You (Skills and Experience):
- You have 8+ years of experience, including several years of in-house experience, preferably in a high-growth environment.
- Qualified to practice law in the EU and the US.
- Knowledge of law in North America and the Middle East is desirable.
- Experience overseeing a broad range of legal subject matter, including but not limited to corporate governance, commercial law, medical law, & data privacy laws (including HIPPA and GDPR ) and security issues in a commercial negotiation context.
- Experience drafting, redlining, and negotiating complex commercial agreements with a solution-oriented approach.
- Possess a deep understanding of privacy and other regulations impacting the business, including HIPPA and GDPR.
- You will have shown leadership skills in previous positions and are keen to develop these skills further.
- You bring a sense of urgency to the work that you do and are able to execute on tasks by using your initiative.
- You enjoy innovating and bringing new ideas to the table.
- You like to have autonomy in your role and the independence to manage your own time and workload.
- You are highly collaborative and enjoy working with lots of different teams and people.
- You have great written and oral English language skills.
