We are seeking a General Manager for the new India R&D Lab.
Responsibility
Establish, hire and lead an R&D center in India with a strong team of architects, developers, partners, and professionals to deliver and enhance TigerGraph product offerings.
The job includes providing technical leadership for every aspect of a software development environment. Must be able to lead complex technical and strategic discussions including engineering, product, customer, and other stakeholders. Establish communication and strong working relationships across multiple geographies around the TigerGraph organization.
The candidate must have a strong understanding of database platforms. In addition, the candidate is expected to lead a results-oriented culture with a strong focus on engineering excellence, both in innovation and in execution.

Requirements
- 15+ years of industry experience with 8+ years of senior leadership/people management experience.
- Good understanding of the database industry.
- Track record of leading engineering teams delivering products using latest methodologies
- Solid track record of over-achieving engineering project delivery in a high volume, innovative and fast-paced high-pressure environment.
- Experience in setting up and/or working with cross-functional teams.
- Global mindset with the ability to think about culture, language, and other aspects when putting the customer at the center of all outcomes.
- Ability to formulate and deliver solutions to complex problems in a large and diverse technology landscape with multiple teams.
- Strong strategic planning and organizational skills.
- Passion for leading and developing direct reports; providing guidance, consultation, and opportunities towards improving their professional skills.
- Effective management and collaboration with geographically distributed teams.
- Strong communication, listening, interpersonal, influencing, and negotiation skills; able to convey important messages in a clear and compelling manner.
