We are seeking an engaging, experienced general manager with a deep knowledge of the healthcare or personal injury sector to lead and manage staff, execute on strategic plans and programs, deliver on customer SLAs, and meet the financial targets set for our Medical Information Exchange business.


Job Description


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Contribute to and execute against the overall strategic direction for the business, aligning with the company's goals and objectives. Provide guidance and support to the Operational Managers and Internal Business Support Teams in achieving business targets and driving innovation.
  • Team Management: Lead a team of Operational Managers and Business Support teams, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Provide mentorship, training, and performance feedback to ensure the development and engagement of team members.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and contracts in collaboration with Customer Leads. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry leaders to expand the company's presence and market share.
  • Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of strategic projects, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards. Monitor project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure successful completion within agreed-upon parameters.
  • Technical Expertise: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies, methodologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement. Review, revise and optimise systems, processes, and procedures, providing technical guidance and expertise to the team, assisting in complex problem-solving and decision-making processes.
  • Financial Management: Develop and manage the budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost control measures. Monitor financial performance, analyse key metrics, and implement strategies to achieve profitability and growth targets.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges associated with operations. Implement effective risk management strategies and ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and industry requirements.
  • Collaboration: Foster effective collaboration and communication between the Operational Managers, Business Support teams and other key internal stakeholders like the Finance team. Work closely with the broader leadership team and key internal stakeholders to achieve organizational goals and objectives.

Desirable:

  • Demonstrated expertise within the health sector or in personal injury insurance, with a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in these industries.
  • Experience in running call centres desirable.
  • Experience in using technology to automate, improve, and innovate also preferred.

  • A creative and innovative thinker with the ability to draw on a wide range of resources to develop dynamic and effective solutions?
