We are looking for an intern to join our Global Partnerships team. The goal of a Global Partnerships intern at Wisk is to ensure that Wisk’s ongoing and growing presence and influence with public officials (eg, federal, state, local stakeholders), as well as industry partners, shapes the Urban Air Mobility market. You will be part of the Global Partnerships team that oversees the following key areas of the Wisk business: national policy & regulatory engagements, state & local engagements, and industry partnerships (eg, technical partnerships). Reporting to the Vice President of Global Partnerships, the intern will work with internal and external stakeholders to establish and execute on Wisk’s Commercial and Policy priorities.

    • The successful candidate understands how to assess global markets, interacting with internal and external stakeholders, and/or developing strategic plans. You have interest in shaping public policy for new markets and/or certifying new technologies. You are interested in cultivating industry-to-industry relationships, partnerships, and associated activities (eg, engaging new partners, sharing strategic vision, negotiating).
    • In this role, the candidate must have strong business acumen and ability to engage senior executives and high-level government officials. You are a self-starter, well organized, flexible, and motivated to grow our business

What you will do:

    • Identify and analyze global developments that are relevant to the Company’s business interests and engage key internal and external stakeholders to develop company strategies based on these global developments
    • Support the development and execution of advocacy strategies to influence legislation, regulation and other public policies of strategic interest to the Company in key jurisdictions
    • Partner closely with Company executives and other business partners to inform policy positions and ensure that advocacy and goals are aligned with the company’s business priorities and values
    • Support the development of company strategies and priorities for managing engagements with industry partners, local resources, and third parties to deliver on company objectives
    • Support the development and execution of strategies to identify/source, engage, vet, negotiate with and ultimately close strategic technical partners in support of Wisk needs
    • Support internal coordination and management of strategic technical partnerships through close collaboration with Engineering, Supply Chain, Legal, Marketing, and other internal stakeholders
    • Support the development, issuance, and management of Requests for Information, Request for Proposals and other external-facing solicitations
    • Support the negotiation of sophisticated technical contracts, specifically focusing on intellectual property ownership, fee payments, etc.

What you have done:

    • You have worked on various aviation, automotive, or other technology and/or transportation-related company/entity.
    • You have hands-on experience integrating complex systems and solving associated problems
    • You have a strong and applied knowledge of complex business processes, relationship management, and other business-related capabilities.
    • You have lead teams who achieved strategic and tactical business goals.

Desired:

    • You are familiar with aviation and/or have a technical degree

Eligibility Requirements:

    • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
    • Must live in the US at both the time of application AND at the time the internship begins
    • Must be either a rising Junior, Senior or Graduate student in college
    • Must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0, transcripts are required
    • Must be an enrolled student at both the time of application AND at the time the internship begins
    • Must be able to work 40 hours a week for 12 weeks (full-time 3 months)
    • Must be able to work pacific standard time (PST)
Compensation and Benefits:
In addition to offering a great work environment and the opportunity to be part of the team making electric autonomous flight a reality, at Wisk, we offer excellent total rewards which include a competitive base salary, annual bonus, long term incentive, 401K, health benefits and much more.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay Range the Company expects to pay: $25 an hour

We are headquartered in Mountain View, CA, and have a satellite office in Atlanta, GA.
