After taking a commoncore set of classes required of all business students (pre-businessand junior-level business-core classes designed to expose studentsto all the functional areas of business), students move on towithin-major marketing-specific classes that enable students tolearn the principles, theory, nomenclature, and application ofmarketing thought that will guide them in careers as diverse assales, retailing, advertising, digital marketing, businessmarketing, non-profit marketing, international marketing, and manyothers. Environmental scanning, critical thinking, effectivecommunication, and international perspectives are emphasized inevery class.Job SummaryReporting to the Chair of the Department of Marketing, theAssistant Professor position requires outstanding scholarlyresearch within the discipline, excellence in teaching andmeaningful service responsibilities, and a Ph.D., or equivalent, inMarketing. This position will be key in the department and collegeprograms. The ability to contribute to a positive collegial workenvironment in the Department, College, and University is alsoexpected and a strong orientation to recruiting, retaining, andmentoring qualified students. The position is a 10-month, annual,tenure-track appointment beginning August 1, 2025, and the salaryis competitive and commensurate with qualifications andexperience.Required QualificationsEarned Ph.D., or equivalent, in Marketing, or a closely relatedfield, with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Marketing, byAugust 1, 2025.Evidence of effective communication skills.Faculty qualified initially and continuously according to AACSBguidelines.Willingness to engage with institutional student successinitiatives.Commitment to engaging with best practice initiatives ininstruction and pedagogy, mentoring, and curriculum design anddevelopment.Demonstrated commitment to advancing a strong and growing researchand scholarship agenda and the production of research/creativeactivities as appropriate to the discipline.Preferred QualificationsUniversity-level teaching experience in Marketing.Experience teaching sales or sales-related courses.Desire to contribute to the Center for Sales Excellence.Experience teaching via web-based instruction.Past business experience.Experience working collaboratively in a Department orCollege.Proposed SalaryCommensurate with experience.This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.Required Documents to AttachA complete application consists of a letter addressing thequalifications cited above; a curriculum vitae; and the names, addresses,telephone numbers, and email addresses of at least threeprofessional references.
