Intermediate Vulnerability Research Engineer, Application Security Testing: Vulnerability Research
GitLab is an open core software company that develops the most comprehensive AI-powered DevSecOps Platform, seeking a Vulnerability Research Engineer to enhance security detection capabilities.
Skills
- Experience in vulnerability detection products
- Knowledge of vulnerability management process
- Software composition analysis knowledge
- Experience with SAST and DAST
- Knowledge of compilers and secure coding practices
Responsibilities
- Conduct research and create proofs of concepts for security products
- Curate advisory databases for dependency scanning
- Build benchmarks to test scanning and detection efficacy
- Measure and improve scanning product efficacy over time
- Write detailed technical reports
- Assess security product results and conduct root cause analysis
- Respond to customer inquiries on vulnerabilities
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related field
